The B vitamin complex includes eight vitamins which are each different in their structure and role. In 2003, the ‘Remedia scandal’ hit Israeli headlines, when it was discovered that the company had marketed a new plant-based baby formula which did not contain Vitamin B1. Babies consuming this formula exclusively developed a number of severe nervous system developmental disorders, and five babies even died.
