What happens to a shadow when you change the position of the flashlight?

The angle of the light determines both the shape and length of a shadow. When light shines at a low angle, as in the early morning, it hits objects from the side, and their shadows are stretched long and thin. When the light comes from a higher angle, as at noon, the shadows become shorter.
